BIOGRAPHY

Katsuni, who was born in Lyon, France to a French mother and Vietnamese father, started working as a go-go dancer while studying political science and literature in preparation for a career as a literature teacher. In 2002, at the age of 23, she met a Penthouse photographer, who approached her about posing as a model. The gig eventually lead to adult movies.

Her sense of adventure and love for sex helped her make her choice, first to enter the industry, then to become the first contract girl with Penthouse France.

Today, with more than 300 movies and many magazine covers to her name, Katsuni has become the most famous French porn star in the world. She’s the only French star in the top 10 porn stars on the planet, according to Genesis magazine.

She has won 29 international awards, including 12 AVN Awards, most recently for Best Sex Scene in a Foreign-Shot Production (Furious Fuckers Final Race).

Katsuni has been named Best French Actress, Best European Actress and Best Foreign Female Performer in the United States, and has been on the cover of AVN magazine twice. She also has been voted “Favorite Actress” by the readers of the French magazines Hot Video and Chobix.

Worldwide success has Katsuni living in both Paris and Los Angeles, where she was the first French actress under contract with Digital Playground, and was one of the main characters in Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge.

Katsuni feature dances in the United States, and is well known in France and Italy for her artistic stage performances. She is also a producer and director for her own adult video company, Katsuni LLC.

In France, Katsuni is the only adult star to be the subject of five 52-minute documentaries by MCM, and the French director Gaspar Noe (Irreversible) chose her for his short movie, We Fuck Alone. She has her own TV show on TPS Star and has a part on the most popular adult TV show in France, Le Journal du Hard.

Katsuni was formerly known as Katsumi, but was barred from using the name in 2007 by a French judge, after a woman named Mary Katsumi sued her due to the similarity to her own name.
