ACLU to Debate ADF on Porn Prosecution

Mike Johnson, a senior attorney for the right-wing Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), will debate Nadine Strossen, the president of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and author of "Defending Pornography: Free Speech, Sex and the Fight for Women's Rights" on Wednesday over federal regulation of pornography.

The debate, which begins at 8 p.m., will be held at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.

Johnson told a Focus on the Family news source, citizenlink.com, that he would argue that enforcement of porn regulations is vital to child safety.

Strossen, a New York University law professor, is known for her strong free-speech stance. Strossen has argued that censoring pornography is part of the right wing's agenda to control the media and attack the First Amendment.
