Nectar Entertainment Offers New Look for New Year

Nectar Entertainment has created new box covers for the bulk of their catalog, a move that company officials say reinforces the conventional wisdom regarding the importance of a good box cover – their catalog sales dramatically improved once the new artwork was in place.

“We were looking to give the company a face-lift,” Nectar CEO Sean Logan told AVN.com. “We didn’t feel that our original box covers conveyed the proper feel and taste of what our movies offer.”

Jeffery Bryant, Nectar’s in-house art director, is responsible for the redesign. “We wanted Nectar to be represented with an epic look, bigger than life,” Bryant said, explaining why the new look works. “We wanted the backgrounds and colors to be seen, to indicate that this title is more than just five sex scenes.”

Nectar began using the new box covers right before Christmas, and Logan reports that catalog sales have tripled since the new art work began being used. “Not a bad way to start the year,” Logan said.
