Adult niche webmasters now have an intriguing new offering, for those who incline toward cartoon and animations - Edge Interactive Publishing has taken the wraps off a collection of almost two thousand adult Japanese hentai cartoons for license.
The collection includes static images in JPEG format, animated images in GIF format, and sequences of images forming animations, Edge said. They include characters from popular games, Anime videos, and comics, featuring leading artists at work, the publisher continued, with many "extremely provocative… touch(ing) on sexual and sadomasochistic activities that lie beyond the realm of real-world madmen."
Edge said all their adult Web clients who specialize in Asian material are buying these products with enthusiasm. But can these images be at least as sexy as images of real people? "They can get very sexy," said Edge marketing, sales, and business development spokesman Ben Petchkis. "Very sexy. They can get even sexier than real images because they get so extreme. Some of the images, they depict scenes of… androids, or something of a combination man and robot who have these extensions of tentacles which are phallic. And these are based on real cartoons."
Petchkis said Edge plans video releases as well, but the contract for that project isn't a done deal yet. "We get all (the JPEG and GIF images) directly from the guy who licenses all the Japanese animation in the United States, but it'll probably be another month or so before we know if the (video) deal gets done," he said. "And we'd be his sole Internet outlet, too. This would be a pretty big coup for us, nobody else in the United States would have this stuff and license it legally to the webmasters."
